Girls’ Generation member, Yoona, returns to Singapore after five years for an exclusive H:CONNECT Meet & Greet at Bugis Junction with her fans. The last time this ethereal beauty graced our shores was for the Girls’ Generation ~Girls & Peace~ World Tour back in 2013.
As Yoona stepped on stage, she greeted her fans with a smile that melted everyone’s hearts – even the sound system could not handle her presence, as would everyone in the crowd that screamed when she arrived. Despite technical difficulties, Yoona was still beaming as she playfully tested out the microphones to see which one was working.
Yoona introduced the outfit she picked out for her appearance as one that is befitting for the Summer heat – the long flowy skirt also shows off her feminine side.
What is a summer item from H:CONNECT that Yoona recommends? “Firstly, basic items like denim jeans and a simple t-shirt, as well as a one-piece that is comfortable for Summer.” Yoona also mentioned that she is into colorful clothes recently – she balances out the vibrant colors with a white or black bottom. How does Yoona demonstrate refreshing Korean styles for the audience? “It’s all because of fans’ love.” (Awww.)
When the emcee asked Yoona about her favourite foods in Singapore, the singer-actor said that these days she likes to eat Pepper Crab – she even ate it right after she arrived in Singapore the day before the meet & greet.
Upon hearing the the question about Yoona’s upcoming plans for her solo and group activities, fans exclaimed, “Fan Meeting! Singapore Fan Meeting!!”. Yoona shared that she is currently doing her So Wonderful Day fan meeting, and has started filming for a movie as well. She also mentioned that fans will be able to meet her in an upcoming reality show.
Yoona also took her time to carefully style three lucky fans – they each got to walk away with the clothes that Yoona had picked for them, as well as a photo with the star. Following after was a fansign for another group of lucky fans that have spent above $260 at H:CONNECT’s promotional event.
After the fansign, fans held up pink balloons that said “Yoona in Singapore” to show their love and support for the star. Fans also shouted “보고싶었어!*” after a whistle cue and Yoona mouthed “고마워*.. Me too.” in response before turning around for a group photo.
Yoona expressed her heartfelt thanks and said she never thought that she would receive such a gift. She also reiterated that she will try to come by more often. We hope to see her back in Singapore soon!
