Hwang In Youp’s 1st Fan Meeting in Singapore: Remembering Singapore with Okey Dokey and Kaya Toast6/8/2022 Many may remember Hwang In Youp dancing to Okey Dokey in his iconic scene in True Beauty. However, we could also be sure that Hwang In Youp will likewise remember Singapore with the Okey Dokey dance after a fun-filled night at the actor’s first fan meeting in Singapore on the 30th of July, 2022.

The first solo K-Pop fanmeet held the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The first K-Pop idol to eat durian on stage, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The first artist to have his photo printed on the ezlink card (Singapore’s transport card). Three “firsts” all ticked by the one-and-only CEO Kang Daniel.
Having joined the second season of hit reality survival programme <PRODUCE 101> as an independent trainee, Kim Jaehwan worked his way up the ranks and earned himself a spot in the two-year project group, Wanna One, that ended their promotions earlier this year. Since then, the vocalist has been working on his solo debut and had released his first mini album titled 'Another' back in May. Kim Jaehwan was prepared to make it a memorable evening for Singapore WIN:Ds last weekend at his ‘2019 Kim Jae Hwan Fan Meeting – MIN:D in Singapore’. Korean boy group BTOB held their very first fanmeeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at MITEC on 16 December 2018. Despite visiting Malaysia several times, this was BTOB’s very first solo event in Malaysia – and the last overseas promotion for members Changsub and Minhyuk before their military enlistment. Leader Eunkwang, however, was not present as he had already enlisted back in August. HIGHLIGHT returned to Singapore after three years for an exclusive fan meeting event held in conjunction with the celebration of The Shilla Duty Free’s 4th Year Anniversary at Changi Airport Terminal 4. Despite being one member down due to mandatory military service, the gorgeous men of HIGHLIGHT – and latest brand ambassadors of The Shilla Duty Free – still rocked the stage on Friday by providing fantastic fan service, in-sync dance and flawless singing skills. Girls’ Generation member, Yoona, returns to Singapore after five years for an exclusive H:CONNECT Meet & Greet at Bugis Junction with her fans. The last time this ethereal beauty graced our shores was for the Girls’ Generation ~Girls & Peace~ World Tour back in 2013. As Yoona stepped on stage, she greeted her fans with a smile that melted everyone’s hearts – even the sound system could not handle her presence, as would everyone in the crowd that screamed when she arrived. Despite technical difficulties, Yoona was still beaming as she playfully tested out the microphones to see which one was working. Kim Myung Soo, also known as L from Korean boy group INFINITE, was in town recently for his first ever solo fan meeting. The singer-actor was all smiles as he talked about the differences between promoting as a singer and an actor at his press conference. Kim Myung Soo recently acted in MBC’s historical drama, The Emperor: Owner of the Mask, as a commoner named Lee Sun.
Kim Myung Soo expressed that he was not expecting such a big turnout at his press conference and also mentioned that he was not feeling well but the response he received from Inspirits gave him lots of energy. Kim Yoo Jung was in town for her First Memory Fan Meeting in Singapore that was held at Grand Copthorne on 20 May.
Before heading over to Singapore, Kim Yoo Jung was seen with a cast on her left arm at Incheon Airport. Her agency stated that she had injured her arm from a fall while doing jump rope exercises. Despite that, Yoo Jung was still in all smiles when she landed on our sunny island. Fans were definitely in for a treat during the actress’ fanmeeting as it was filled with engaging activities that allowed fans to interact with the actress at close proximity. Activities include re-enacting scenes from her previous dramas, a snack date, mini drawing competition, plus Hi-Touch session and group photo opportunities. Some lucky Xanderettes shared a cozy session with Alexander and Algovital Angel at Revolte x She Shops on Friday, 26 August 2016.
Former U-Kiss member, Alexander, was in Singapore for a few days to meet his fans and promote a Korean skincare brand – Algovital Angel. After making his appearance, Alexander warmly greeted his fans and cracked up some jokes about the latest Pokemon Go! craze, then amused, “Don’t throw balls at me tonight!”, to lighten up the scene. Riding on the friendly atmosphere he has set, he shared about his college life and said that fans may look forward to him “emceeing for different programs although nothing is confirmed yet”, cheekily adding that he will “date” his fans (at the event) first. Although the weather had been less than spectacular on our shores last week, the throngs of fans waiting for actor Kang Ha Neul at Waterway Point on Saturday were not deterred by it. Ardent fans of Kang Ha Neul started queuing hours before the scheduled event to catch a glimpse of him – even remaining in high spirits despite the delayed appearance of the 26 year old actor. As Kang Ha Neul made his appearance on stage, he took in the huge crowd welcoming him with grins and looks of bewilderment never leaving his face. Ever the crowd pleaser, Kang Ha Neul waved in all directions to his fans, not forgetting to also acknowledge fans that were watching him from the second floor. During the event, Kang Ha Neul revealed that he himself has yet to watch the drama – the drama was pre-produced 100% ahead of airing – and that he would probably watch it (for the first time) at the same time fans would be tuning in for the first broadcast. |
