Fans gathered at the venue hours before the slated time of Valentino’s grand opening to search for the best spots to see their favorite celebrities. By 6pm, 45 minutes before the guests of the luxury boutique opening began, the venue was already packed.
Jessica Jung, Hong Kong TVB actresses Linda Chung and Charmaine Sheh, as well as Cantopop singer Pakho Chau were invited to grace the opening of Valentino on the night of 13 January 2016. The event also saw many familiar local celebrities such as Rosalyn Lee (Rozz), Jade Seah and Tabitha Nauser.

As each celebrity made their way to the photowall, cheers from the fans grew louder and louder. Definite star of the night Jessica Jung received roaring cheers – with random dolphin screams in attempt to catch her attention – the moment she stepped out. Dressed Valentino’s Spring ‘16 Garden Couture look, Jessica’s beauty and elegance shone through as she waved to her fans, and posed for the cameras.
Despite a short media interview, Jessica shared many of her upcoming plans for the new year. She finally dropped details regarding her solo album, and shared that, “There is going to be a lot of different styles and a variety of ballads. I am really excited and I want to share it with my fans soon.”
The fluent English speaking K-Pop artiste added that she and her team are debating on the languages (of her album), but are currently working on both English and Korean albums, plus “a variety of different languages as well”. We are definitely looking forward to this part. Her recent cover of Sara Bareilles’ Gravity for “Sing A Song With Yourself” by Grazia China X Youku Tudou was extremely well executed – do listen to it if you have not already!
To add on to the excitement, Jessica also mentioned that she is participating in the writing of songs and lyrics as well.
Besides her album preparations, Jessica has also recently finished filming a movie with Hong Kong Actor William Chan. She remembered it as a fun experience and mentioned that she might do more acting in future as well. Perhaps, after the album?
Round the night for everyone, Jessica dedicated an Instagram post to the event and hollered to the fans who came to meet her, “Thank you @maisonvalentino for putting together a wonderful event in Singapore. My dearest fans, you rock! Make me feel so special💋”
