iKONICS were blessed with an energy packed night when the group was in Singapore for one of their stops for their very first world tour - IKON ‘Continue’ Tour. The fans had been waiting for this very moment ever since the boys’ last visit here during their first concert in Singapore two years ago. The Max Pavilion shook with iKONICS’ lively fanchants as they vigorously waved their KONBATs while waiting for the concert to begin.
The night started off with a bang straight away as the boys emerged onstage to perform “BLING BLING” in their captivating red and black ensemble. They followed it up with a remix of “SINOSIJAK”, one of their hit songs during their reality survival program days on Mix & Match, and a rock version of “RHYTHM TA” – receiving an overwhelming response from the audience as iKONICS sang and screamed along to every song.

iKON then took the time to greet the crowd, introducing themselves and spending a little while to catch up with their beloved fans. Leading most of the conversation with fluent English, Bobby also made sure to highlight the importance of safety, reminding the fans that their safety is top priority. They then talked a bit about vacations and beaches, leading to a smooth segue onto their next two songs, “COCKTAIL” and “ONLY YOU” on a refreshing stage decorated with props to simulate a day at the beach.
It seemed that fan interaction meant a lot to the boys as Bobby and B.I spent some time chatting and letting the fans know what they had been up to during their time in Singapore, while the other members went backstage to prepare for the next performance. When asked by Bobby about what he had been doing, B.I simply replied that he was in the hotel the entire day, eating and sleeping, which got the fans laughing and relating to the group’s leader. The duo awkwardly went back and forth about not knowing what to do or talk about and decided to play a little game with the fans, splitting the hall into two sections, with Bobby and B.I taking their own sides, and getting each team to sing a segment of “LOVE SCENARIO” to see who could do it the loudest. It concluded with Bobby cheekily saying that the fans were all winners and the two shouted “Singapore, we love you!” without the use of their microphones.
Next, the vocal line consisting of Jay, Ju-ne, Song, DK and Chan came back on stage to serenade the iKONICS with “PERFECT”, followed by Bobby with “TENDAE”, a track from his debut solo album ‘Love and Fall’, which was released last year. B.I then took over on a throne with “ONE AND ONLY”, dominating the stage with his presence, and was rejoined by Bobby as they performed “ANTHEM”, bringing the rest of the group back on stage to jam out to “B-DAY” before ending this segment of special stages and rolling a video clip while they got ready for the next stage.
With the night still going strong as energy levels went off the roof, iKON returned with “MY TYPE”, a sweet song that gets all the iKONICS swooning, and “RUBBERBAND”, where the lyrics talk about a relationship slowly coming to an end. The boys then paired up to perform “BEST FRIEND”, with the highlight of the stage being Bobby left without a partner, but content with entertaining himself (and the fans) in an adorable onesie. After which, they sang “EVERYTHING”, ending the segment with another video clip.
When the group came back, they performed “LOVE SCENARIO”, their most popular song with over 200 million views on YouTube to date. iKONICS went crazy, screaming and singing their heart out word for word, nailing the fan chants perfectly. They followed it up with their most recent song, “GOODBYE ROAD”, a sentimental track about broken hearts and wanting the best for the other person after breaking up. The boys then told the fans that the concert was coming to an end as they had only two songs left, but Jay promised that if iKONICS screamed loud enough, they would return for an encore stage. With that in mind, the fans cheered to their hearts’ content as iKON performed “KILLING ME” and “FREEDOM” before leaving the stage.
Sure enough, iKONICS brought the boys back for an encore stage with their powerful screams, and the group sang a total of 5 songs: “JUST FOR YOU”, “LOVE SCENARIO”, “DON’T LET ME KNOW”, “DUMB & DUMBER” and “B-DAY”, with the last song as a bonus just for their loving fans.
To end the concert, the boys thanked their fans and reminded them to get home safe, promising that they would return to Singapore again in the future. With a beautiful night like that, there is no doubt that their fans will be counting down days till they do.
Big thank you to UnUsUal for having us at the concert!
