First shocker on stage happened when the multinational, potential filled, Farrago, rocked the stage. Common question amongst the crowd when they were on stage was, “Are they a local band?" – Yes they are, and they made us proud indeed!
Satisfying the oriental rock needs of the crowd, Ground Zero, the eye candy of the night and rock band from Taiwan got the party started when the crowd jumped to the music. It seems like although we’re a little unfamiliar with their songs – music has no boundaries.
Japanese? Indonesian? This year's Festival gave us the mix of both as J-Rocks – an Indonesian band that had influence from Japanese Rock music in Bahasa Indonesia – took the stage. It got sentimental when the band took a few minutes to dedicate a message to terrorism with the recent terror scares in America. The lead singer said that terrorism has no religion and how terrorism has no god. #prayforpeace
The little drizzle definitely did not stop INKT – a super hyper Japanese band – from their head banging and hair flipping. With the crowd, hands up in the air – this band seems to be the first to make the whole crowd actively wave their hands and move to the beat. Bubbly and cute, the heartfelt compliments from INKT relying their thanks for the crowd’s support despite being unfamiliar with their music touched our hearts.
5 hours of great rock music but the crowd was still up and ready for more. Epik High jumped on stage with their phones out, videoing the atmosphere. With DJ Tukutz on the set, Tablo and Mithra Jin was getting the crowd hyped up by engaging the audience playfully. Lucky fans were also splashed with water by Tablo and Mithra Jin – what a night to remember for all of them! Fans sang along as they performed iconic songs from their albums such as “BORN HATER”, “Don’t hate me”, “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and “Love Love Love”.
