Among the many segments, the ones that stood out most were Ong-Talk and Ong-stagram. These segments were then followed by some games where multi-talented Ong was given chances to win prizes for fans – later given out through lucky draws.
During Ong-Talk, fans got to learn more about Ong and his obsession with Caramel Macchiato. He also shared that his favourite local delight was Laksa and added that his fondest childhood memory was hanging out with his friends when he was far away from home.
When asked how he would describe himself, Ong amusedly agreed with the host when ‘charming’, ‘handsome’, ‘cute’ and ‘attractive’ were listed as attributes. After which Ong added, ‘and sometimes, sexy too’ before proceeding to tease the crowd by taking off his jacket.
The artiste also has high standards for himself – he sees himself as ‘Daebak Ong Seong Wu (Great Ong Seong Wu)’ in 10 years; more good-looking, a better person and a person who cooks better.
During Ong-stagram, Ong Seong Wu talked about some of the more iconic photos on his Instagram and shared some backstories as well. After concluding that he posts many selfies, he revealed that he is sanguine in the way he looks which is the reason why he has about 3,000 selfies of himself in his phone. Don’t we all love a person who is confident in the way he looks? Yes to #positivevibes!
Eternity Tour’s producers also photoshopped Ong’s face on the body of the Merlion and gifted it to him – leaving the artiste rather flabbergasted when he saw it.
Fans also went back in time to the days of Wanna One when Ong was challenged to a ‘Random Play Dance’ to some iconic songs such as ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Energetic’. Ong Seong Wu also showed off his popping moves and was supposed to teach the host as well but later dismissed it with a round of laughter and comedic head-shaking. After reliving those moments, Ong then showed off his vocals with 제발 (Please) and 이 순간을 사랑해요(Love This Moment).
Towards the later part of the fan meeting, a fan project video was then dedicated to the artiste; leaving him in tears as he watched it. Fans conveyed their heartfelt appreciation towards the artiste through the video and made sure to tell Ong that they will always be there supporting him. ‘Ong Seong Wu, Ong Seong Wu, Ong Seong Wu, 사랑해요 (We Love You)!’ – fans chanted right after the video ended. Ong also poured his feelings out and thanked his fans for supporting him since the Wanna One days – it was truly a heartwarming moment and definitely one of the most memorable parts of the fan-meet.
The magnificent and momentous night ended with a powerful final dance performance and an orderly hi-touch session. Some fans also managed to score a photo session with the man himself. We hope to see Ong Seong Wu succeed in his future projects and we can’t wait for this funny and talented guy to be back in Singapore again.
Ong Seong Wu Daebak!
