It seemed to be a steal for a price of $67 to just watch 4Minute alone, but there’s Boys Like Girls and our homegrown singer, Tanya Chua for fans of other genres. A free Singapore Flyer and Universal Studios ticket came with the package to make your money more worthwhile, and it was no wonder some actually worried that tickets would be sold out but thankfully, it didn’t. However, given what you are paying for, the STAR (Straits Times Appreciate Readers) Concert promised to be something really special because it was really all about Straits Times thanking Singaporeans for the support after all these years.
The concert lasted for about 4 hours, ending at only around 10PM. There was a lot of teasing from the hosts, and it was clear that the audience wanted 4Minute onstage as the concert geared up to the final acts with the sighs of disappointment whenever they announced the next performer.
Dressed in their outfits for their lastest hit, 4Minute took the stage with Volume Up amidst one of the loudest cheers heard for the night. The crowd hyped up significantly, and the sruge of excitment lasted till the end of the concert. The ladies then went onto rocking the stage with Muzik, followed by Heart To Heart and Mirror Mirror.
The crowd was left screaming for encore when the ladies took their leave, as though a final act was missing to end the night off. The ladies returned on stage with Huh, closing the concert proper with everyone happy and satisfied. There were small talk segments in between performances to add onto the audience interaction, and the girls clearly enjoyed the stage and had as much fun as the audience did.

The concert was indeed a unique experience as compared to other K-pop concerts where security is tight. Though the stage setup was simple, the fact that it was about The Straits Times going the extra mile to show their appreciation for their readers left concertgoers with a magical touch of fun in their hearts.
